With its main office in Madison, New Jersey, Anywhere Real Estate owns Coldwell Banker Real Estate LLC, an American real estate franchise. It was established in 1906 in San Francisco and currently has about 3000 offices in 49 nations and territories. It releases the Home Listing Report, an annual guide to home prices. On August 27, 1906, Albert Nion Tucker, Colbert Coldwell, and John Conant Lynch founded Tucker, Lynch, and Coldwell after the catastrophic 1906 San Francisco earthquake and fires.
Salesman Benjamin Arthur Banker began working for the company in 1913 and became a partner in 1914. In 1918, the business rebranded itself as Coldwell, Kern & Banker. Coldwell, Kern, Cornwall & Banker was the new name in 1919; Coldwell Cornwall & Banker was the new name in 1920. Following Cornwall’s retirement in 1940, the business was renamed Coldwell, Banker & Company. Banker and Coldwell continued to be involved with the company throughout their lives.
Coldwell Banker relocated to a three-story San Francisco structure in 1920. In 1952, it established its first office in Phoenix, Arizona, outside of California. In the 1970s, the business grew by purchasing companies in Atlanta, Chicago, and Washington, D.C. Toronto, Canada; the company’s first global location opened its doors in 1996.

1980-2019

Coldwell Banker started using a brand-new logo in 1980. The updated design yields a more sophisticated and contemporary logo. It had the brand’s name in bold, huge letters and the scaled-down monogram from the earlier iteration. It was all contained within a deep blue rectangle. The color represented stability, trust, strength in the marketplace, and dependability.
2019-Present

Coldwell Banker underwent another trademark change a few years ago. This time, a distinctive, fashionable logo was created, which is still used today. It has a white background devoid of lines and no constraints imposed by rectangles. The corporate name is visible, but it is now at the bottom.
